Technology
Some Tools of the Trade . . .
We
continue to invest in best-of-breed technologies that help us to provide
superior quality and service to our clients. When we recently constructed
our new facility, we wanted to insure that we not only could efficiently
provide state-of-the art vehicle repair and customer service, but that
we would also be a good neighbor with environmentally sound practices.
Front Office - managing the information
Beginning
with the first customer contact, through work in process and final delivery
of your vehicle, our computer systems track the progress of your repair.
We always know what stage your vehicle is in and its
expected completion date. This information system also allows us to work
effectively with your insurance company when previously undiscovered damage
is exposed during your vehicle's repair.
Straightening Things Out
Damage to a vehicle's frame is all too common after a collision. As we
mentioned in the section on hidden
damage, precisely correcting frame
damage is vital to the driving characteristics and driving safety of your
vehicle. We use the some of the best and most precise equipment available
from Chief™ Automotive Systems. This is a 3-dimensional measuring
and straightening system. When used with our computerized measurements
system, this equipment allows us to correctly repair damage to vehicles
ranging in size from small unibodies to medium-duty trucks.
Great Finish - Good Neighbors
We
discussed our color matching
technologies in a previous section. Our ability to apply a "factory
quality" finish to your vehicle also uses advanced technology that
is environmentally friendly to both our employees and our neighbors.
Our Spraybake Paint Booth is environmentally friendly due to its unique,
EPA
certified water-wash system that scrubs paint and solvent laden air clean
and neutralizes isocyanates. Unlike many other systems, the water-wash
filtration system is located outside the booth, so the booth's interior
stays dry. This allows the booth to be kept totally free of moisture that
can adversely affect the finish.
Controlling the Air
A downdraft system keeps a constant top-to-bottom air flow around the
vehicle, reducing over spray and preventing particle "drift"
during the entire painting cycle.
Bake Until Done . . .
A
single control lever converts the insulated booth into a super efficient
oven that quickly bakes the paint to a perfect finish.
Spraybake's unique indirect heat exchanger can bring the baking temperature
to an excess of 200 degrees Fahrenheit within just a few minutes. |
